Project

An identity that knows its place.

Designed to work across spaces, audiences, and moments.

Deck lounge identity and signage overview

Overview

A system that prioritizes the experience.

Deck was already a successful business. It had a loyal audience, a steady flow of visitors, a strong presence in a highly touristic waterfront area, and a clear eye on the future. What it lacked was a defined visual system, consistent and recognizable enough to reflect the level of professionalism behind the operation.

For an established business looking toward the future, a strong visual identity is more than a matter of image. It becomes part of how the business is perceived, reflecting both what it has built and where it intends to go.

Typeface

Custom display typeface designed for the Deck identity.

The letterforms developed for the logo revealed the possibility of a custom display typeface. And we built it.

System

Built for consistency at scale.

The identity is structured around a limited set of decisions that define how elements align, repeat, and behave across applications. This restraint ensures continuity while allowing the system to adapt without drifting.

Rather than a fixed look, the outcome is a framework designed to remain stable under real use. The group also opened Pier 3, a second venue with a more informal character. Its identity was designed as a variation within the same system—distinct in tone, consistent in structure.

Result

Professional and positioned, without
becoming formal.

The system now supports Deck’s spaces with consistency and restraint, operating quietly across applications without asking for attention. It reinforces professionalism and coherence while leaving room for the experience itself to lead. What changed is not the character of Deck, but its ability to communicate reliably—day to night, space to space, over time.
